The Trustees’ October 2013 report announced completion of a landscape plan designed by Park Project Manager Kathleen Scupp with Anthony Bulfamante Landscaping. Existing plants were moved, removed or supplemented to create a more consistent arrangement inside the fence.
The planting included rhododendrons, hollies, viburnums, andromedas, azaleas, laurels, dogwoods and magnolias, together with redbuds and a white forsythia. Fertilizer and a light mulch around the roots followed the planting.
The report distinguished completed work from the next steps: spring ground cover and hostas were planned, along with autumn bulb planting and replacement of the central flower beds with tulips.
