The Dogs of Gramercy Park

Born in Korea and very well traveled, Maisie has crossed oceans. The walk home from the corner, however, can be a bit much.

She regards a stroll around Gramercy as an opportunity for people to meet her, stopping at familiar doorways and occasionally at unfamiliar ones, giving new staff a chance.

At home, she can hear cheese being unwrapped through two closed doors. “Come,” spoken directly to her, is apparently outside her hearing range.

Tim sets out with bags, treats, water, and a leash. He returns carrying all of those things, plus Maisie.

She considers this arrangement a success.
