Your gift supports the Block Association’s work throughout the neighborhood, from daily street cleaning and tree care to help for neighbors in need.
Our professional Clean Team cares for the blocks year-round: sweeping sidewalks, removing graffiti, tending tree gardens, clearing drains and shoveling snow. The annual Neighborhood Refresh brings fresh paint and repairs to fences, lampposts and other street fixtures.
For more than three decades, we have worked to protect Gramercy’s architecture, streetscape and residential character. We advocate for responsible development, organize neighbors when preservation issues arise, monitor construction and hold developers to their commitments.
We help neighbors in need with meals, clothing, school supplies and household essentials. Through longstanding partners, neighbors’ contributions support families in shelters, veterans, people with disabilities, formerly homeless residents and homebound older neighbors.
We welcome contributions by mail, gifts of stock and grants from donor-advised funds or family foundations.
