A winter collection through the precinct
The Gramercy Park Block Association’s November 2013 appeal invited donations of new or gently used, freshly laundered coats through the 13th Precinct. The announced collection ran from November 13 through December 31 as part of the New York Cares Coat Drive.
The Block Association’s Giving Back program records its support for the annual New York Cares Coat Drive. Neighbors contributed new or gently used, freshly laundered coats through the 13th Precinct, helping other New Yorkers prepare for winter.
The coat collection complements the Block Association’s support for the Brotherhood Synagogue’s men’s shelter, where donations have included socks, hats, scarves and gloves. These are separate collections, connected by the Block Association’s habit of working through established local partners.
