The Gramercy Park Block Association’s August 2021 newsletter recalled joining the committee in 2019 to honor Harry T. Burleigh through a street co-naming. The Block Association also wrote a letter of support. The proposed location was the corner of East 16th Street and Third Avenue, near Stuyvesant Square.
The letter reported City Council’s approval of the co-naming and announced a September 12, 2021 celebration with the Stuyvesant Park Neighborhood Association and Calvary–St. George’s.
