Painting and planting together

In June 2024, Clean Streets was repainting the fences around the 41 tree gardens and tending street fixtures around the Park and adjoining streets. Lampposts, hydrants, mailboxes, planters, parking meters and signs all received attention.

Fence painting was timed to coincide with seasonal replanting by Amando Flores and his team, bringing care to the gardens and their surroundings together.

Beyond a coat of paint

The neighborhood cleaning effort also tackled graffiti and stickers. The June letter thanked Amando and Clean Streets team member Saliou Diop for their work throughout the year.
