The East 25th Street sanitation-garage proposal

A proposed sanitation garage raised questions well beyond its own site. Gramercy neighbors joined a wider East Side campaign to make their concerns heard.

A proposal beyond the immediate blocks

The Gramercy Park Block Association joined a coalition opposing a proposed Department of Sanitation garage at East 25th Street and First Avenue. Its July 21, 2015 newsletter shared a petition and a form letter, giving neighbors a way to communicate their opposition to the Department.
