A vigil and a procession

On September 20, 2001, neighbors joined a prayer vigil and candlelight procession from Calvary Church to the Brotherhood Synagogue. A concert vigil at Calvary also remembered those who had died at the World Trade Center.

2002–2003

Memorial concerts on the neighborhood calendar

An announcement in the 2002 remembrance archive invited neighbors to a World Trade Center Memorial Concert on Gramercy Park East on September 5. A year later, a report of the annual concert on September 18, 2003 described the gathering taking place despite warnings about Hurricane Isabel.

2009

Returning to Calvary

Hundreds of Gramercy residents attended the Block Association’s World Trade Center Remembrance Concert at Calvary Church on September 17, 2009.

Other remembrances include the 13th Precinct Remembrance Garden and the E-MEN tribute videos, which record officers’ lives through photographs and recollections.
