In October 2025, the Gramercy Park Block Association announced that it had provided commercial-grade battery-powered landscaping equipment for use in and around the Park. The new tools included leaf blowers, lawn mowers, hedge trimmers and string trimmers from Greenworks Commercial.
The Block Association described the purchase as a response to the noise and fumes associated with the gasoline-powered equipment then in use. Its aim was to make daily maintenance more comfortable for workers, nearby residents and people passing through the neighborhood.
The purchase connects the Block Association’s practical neighborhood support with the Trustees’ care of the Park. Read more about Amando Flores and the landscape he tends.
