A new tree garden outside The Players

The tree-garden fence outside The Players had fallen into serious disrepair. In October 2014, the Block Association reported that it had helped arrange a replacement fence and new planting, made possible by an anonymous gift from a member of the club.

The newsletter placed before-and-after photographs side by side. A small piece of the public streetscape had been renewed through a connection between the Block Association, a neighbor and one of Gramercy’s cultural institutions.
