The Gramercy Park Block Association’s July 2018 newsletter reported an attempted theft of the historic district plaque on the south-side Park fence. The item appeared under Trustees of Gramercy Park, and the repair belongs to the Trustees’ stewardship record.

The report describes Gabriel Popian’s work to repair the fittings, clean and refinish the surface, polish the lettering and reinstall the plaque with additional securing measures.
