After the 2012 crash
The Trustees installed hazard lights at the north and south gates after a taxi struck the fence in 2012. The June 2018 report credited Sal Rusi of Allran Electric with the original installation and later replacement, both without charge.
Operating around the clock took a toll on the lights. Their replacement accompanied the Gramercy Park Block Association’s wider work with City agencies on surrounding-street traffic.
