The Trustees’ bluestone sidewalk repairs

Tree roots had lifted the bluestone around the Park. In 2017, crews began leveling the stones and replacing cracked ones, working around the trees that had displaced them.

In January 2017, a newsletter described how street-tree roots had shifted the bluestone sidewalks around the Park. The Trustees’ project involved leveling displaced stones and replacing cracked ones.

A January 24 report described further leveling near the west gate. The work was expected to take several weeks, depending on the weather.
