Mapping the street trees with ArborScope

In December 2025, the Gramercy Park Block Association introduced its work with Bartlett Tree Experts on ArborScope, a digital inventory covering the 41 tree gardens around Gramercy Park. The system brought information about the perimeter trees into one record.

The letter described eventual expansion inside the Park and into the wider neighborhood as a future ambition. Its initial scope was the surrounding tree gardens.

The assessment identified places where roots needed better exposure at the soil surface and where soil nutrients required attention. It also recorded pear trellis rust affecting four trees at that time.
