In April, the Gramercy Park Block Association shared a collection of flower photographs taken and labeled by Park Caretaker Amando Flores. The collection brought together views from April 2026 and Aprils past: tulips, grape hyacinths, daffodils, flowering shrubs and other details of the changing garden.

A separate opening photograph by Sean Brady introduced the letter. The photographs below preserve those distinct credits: Sean’s opening image, followed by a selection from Amando’s collection.

The pictures offer a way to notice the Park through someone who works among its plants. A sweep of color in a flower bed becomes a collection of individual forms, seasons and familiar places. Explore Amando’s story for more about the Trustees’ longtime caretaker.

The Block Association’s March 20 spring greeting also shared Sean Brady’s photography, continuing a tradition of marking the seasons together.
