As holiday decorations came down, several buildings contacted the Gramercy Park Block Association about Christmas-tree disposal. The Block Association responded with a neighborhood notice explaining that season’s collection arrangements.
The purpose was straightforward: keep sidewalks clear and make it easier to manage the trees efficiently.
The notice described the Block Association’s Clean Streets Team working with the Park’s caretaking crew. Each has a distinct responsibility, but seasonal tasks can call for coordination.
The January collection instructions should not be used as standing permission to leave trees at the Park. Please look for a new dated notice or contact the Block Association before making arrangements.
