Information connected with a gift

Information associated with a contribution may include a donor’s name, contact information, gift amount, date, designation or notes, and information needed for acknowledgment and recordkeeping. Online payment details are handled by the service used to process the contribution; the Block Association does not receive full payment-card numbers through this website.

How donor information is used

The Block Association uses donor information to process and acknowledge gifts, maintain required financial records, respond to questions, communicate about the impact of support, and meet legal obligations.

Our commitments

• The Block Association does not sell, rent or trade donor information.
• The Block Association does not share donor lists with other organizations for their independent marketing or fundraising.
• The Block Association limits access to donor information to people and service providers who need it for legitimate organizational purposes.
• The Block Association will honor reasonable requests for anonymity in public donor recognition.

Service providers and required disclosures

Information may be provided to payment processors, mailing or technology providers, professional advisers and other service providers working on the Block Association’s behalf. It may also be disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect the organization, its donors or others.
